Cookie policy
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage we use on recseo.com, what they do, and how you can change your choices. If anything is unclear, email us at toni@recseo.com.
The short version
We keep this to a minimum. The only thing we store without asking is your currency preference, which stays on your device and identifies no one. We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, and because that sets cookies, it only loads if you accept it on our cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time: .
Functional storage (always on)
- Currency preference (£ or $): remembers which currency you chose to see prices in. It is stored in your browser, is never sent to us, and identifies no one. It is not a tracking cookie.
- cookie_consent: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask you every time. Stored in your browser.
Analytics we run without cookies (always on)
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights: privacy-friendly, aggregated measurement built into our hosting. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other sites, so it runs without asking you.
Analytics (only if you accept)
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. It loads only after you click "Accept". If you accept, it sets a small number of cookies:
- _ga: distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_<id>: keeps session state for GA4. Expires after 2 years.
If you reject, or before you choose, Google Analytics is never loaded and these cookies are never set. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data. Google is based in the United States; its privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies and site storage through your browser settings at any time.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change anything we store, we will update this page. For more on how we handle your data, see our privacy policy.
